ILO is a statement of joy in design. Inspired by a children’s toy, a chair and a stool table were created. The legs consist of wooden balls and capsules that can be freely combined, giving the furniture a playful touch. The “ILO” chair is reminiscent of self-righting toys, whose legs—made of small balls with a rubber band threaded through them—always manage to stand back up. “ILO” means “joy” in Finnish. As is typical for Finnish furniture, ILO is made of solid wood.
