SPACEBOULDER
Love of material and structure right from the start.
In 1997, Nina Ruthe and Alexander Kielmann developed a very futuristic yet avant-garde indoor and outdoor climbing and bouldering wall system. The modules feature overlapping architectural and organic structures inspired by the human venous system and are made of sand-cast aluminium. Each of the 8 different modules can be combined in many different ways using partly flat, partly hyperbolic shapes. When the SPACEBOULDER is freely suspended, climbers can even use it from both sides.
The monumental and sculptural design reflects the love for materiality, special production techniques and - although very unique - the timeless design quality with an innovative character.
